This Better Baby Sitters Girl Scout course was specifically designed to allow Junior Girl Scouts to be able to complete the child care and first aid badge requirements. Topics covered: CPR for Children and Infants, Heimlich manuever, First Aid, Growth and Development, Diapering, Infant Care, Better Baby Sitters Bill of Rights, Job Professionalism. Girls also learn creative problem solving, empowerment and entreprenurial skills. Visits from Police and Fire personnel are also included if available. Other Junior Girl Scouts (Grades 4-6) Girls will contribute to the improvement of society. $70 per student. Includes student manual, fully stocked first aid kit and certificate. 15% discount for groups 20+.

The Park District's Naturalist staff offers educational programs in any of our parks. The newest addition to the Park District is the Chilo Lock #34 Visitor Center and Museum. Located on the site of a former Lock and Dam site, the museum features hands-on interpretive displays including a working model of a wicket dam and lock chamber. In addition, Chilo Lock #34 Park also contains two Yurts, (circular tent-like structures) that can be rented for overnight camping.   Scinece & Natural History All Age Levels Select a choice Most programs are free.
